International Experience
The International Experience focuses on developing young talent and giving training academy players the opportunity to play against top level competition. Both young ladies and gentlemen are given the chance to perform at a high level while understanding different cultures around the world.
For 2019, we brought two different groups to Europe for a trip of a lifetime. In April, a group of young men went to England to train and play against professional academies. During their time there, they attended Premier League matches, took stadium tours, and explored the country. Then in June, a group of young ladies traveled to the Women's World Cup in France. They also trained and played against professional academies, took stadium tours, went to some of the world's most famous landmarks, and made international friends. The ladies watched several matches leading up to the US Women's National Team being crowned champions. Both trips involved family members and friends to allow a full on experience for all parties involved.
While playing against international competition is influential to player development, the most important aspect of these trips is enjoying the native culture. There is no focus on match results. This experience is about establishing a base of match understanding while progressing as a person. Each trip we make sure that players have plenty of time to explore and indulge in the country to the fullest. Visiting the country's iconic places and exchanging lifestyles with its citizens.
