Belief and Loyalty

"My job is to allow people to dream. Make the impossible seem possible"

-Gareth Southgate

Belief and loyalty are two elements that are crucial to any type of progress. Seeing players give their all because of their perspective of themselves is so rewarding. When players push past their limits because they are loyal to the cause, that is a whole different level of emotion. The passion and love that they have can drag you in to the point that you are celebrating on the field with them after a match winner. Their efforts have paid off from their countless hours of training. You become so attached to their emotions, which is the reason why I love coaching so much. Don't lose sight of what is in front of you. Stop chasing success based on silverware.

Being able to meet Gareth Southgate a few years ago was a highlight of my coaching education. Ran into him at breakfast at St. George's Park and he was nice enough to have a chat. Understanding his viewpoints of the game and how he interacts with his players allowed me to be myself more. The connection between yourself and those around you is so important to get the best out of one another. Be that positive light and bring out these elements every where you go
